Samsung today launched the Galaxy Note 10.1 tablet (2014 Edition) in India. The tablet was first showcased at IFA 2013 last month where the company also launched the Galaxy Gear Smartwatch and the Galaxy Note 3. The tablet comes with a new S Pen similar to the one on the Galaxy Note 3. The tablet, launched in black and white colors, is priced at a whooping Rs 49,990 for the 32GB variant.
In terms of specifications, the tablet has a 10.1-inch WQXGA Super clear LCD display with 2560×1600 pixels resolution. On the hardware front, while the company had announced two variants, India will get the 1.9GHz Exynos 5 Octa processor variant with 3GB of RAM. Besides that the tablet will be offered in 3G and Wi-Fi variants and offers 32GB of internal memory, which can be expanded to up to 64GB using a microSD card. There is no information if the 16/64GB variants will follow the 32GB variant to our shores.
The tab runs on Android 4.3 Jelly Bean with Samsung TouchWiz UI and Samsung’s Knox mobile security feature, which is the company’s enterprise and consumer security service. Other features included are an 8-megapixel rear camera with BSI sensor and LED Flash, a 2-megapixel front camera, and an 8,220mAh battery.
