Google acquires FlexyCore, a French company that develops software solutions for mobile phones for $23 million

L’Expansion, a French news site, reports that Google paid about $23 million for the 5-year-old company. The report quotes a Google France rep saying, “We acquired this business now well integrated into our teams. It works to optimize the performance of our operating system on mobile devices.” Google reps in the U.S. could not be reached for immediate comment on the report.

FlexyCore is best known for DroidBooster, a free app which revs the speed of Android apps without draining the battery. The app makes Android run up to 10 times faster. Though high-end Android devices run well enough, the app may be useful for entry-level Androids.
