Apple fans across the world are eagerly awaiting the next-generation iPad mini 2 and the iPad 5, which are set to be unveiled tomorrow. A day prior to the launch, contradicting many previous reports, a freshly leaked photo shows that the iPad mini 2 might not get the Touch ID fingerprint sensor, while reaffirming its presence on the bigger iPad 5. It was posted on Wiebo which also leaked the white variant of Google Nexus 5 earlier today.
This leaked photo shows the forthcoming iPad 5 and the iPad mini 2, and the iPhone 5S, placed on top of each other. If you notice, the home button on iPad 5 resembles that on the iPhone 5S, which confirms the presence of a fingerprint scanner. This is not the first time that the iPad 5 has been reported with the Touch ID fingerprint scanner, and we have earlier also reported of the same many times.
On the other hand, unlike what was rumored earlier, the iPad mini 2 carries the usual home button as seen on previous iPad models and thus might lack the fingerprint scanner charm. The photo also gives us a clear picture of the difference in the sizes and how much weight they have shed.
