We are less than a month away from Apple’s highly anticipated launch of the iPhone 5S and the iPhone 5C in India, but reports of problems on these new smartphones haven’t stopped trickling in. Last week we reported about the iPhone 5S motion sensors being seriously miscalibrated, and now some users are complaining about the Blue Screen of Death on the iPhone 5S, The Verge reports.
Some iPhone 5S users have complained about the Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) — normally associated with older Windows PCs— randomly appearing and rebooting the device. It is said to have occurred when multi-tasking between heavy apps including the iWork suite, which is available for free with new iOS devices.
It’s not clear why the device reboots or how to fix it, but some members on Apple’s forums have suggested that disabling iCloud syncing for Apple’s Pages, Keynote, and Numbers apps has done the trick for them. Hopefully, Apple will have a fix on the forthcoming iOS 7.0.3 update.
In the meantime you can watch a short video uploaded by ELENDIL showing this BSOD on the iPhone 5S.
