As predicted, LG has sent out invites for the G2 in India. The company will host an event in New Delhi for the launch of its latest flagship smartphone, which was globally unveiled in August. Already, the device is up for pre-order with online retailers for Rs 40,499.
In terms of specifications, the G2 is absolutely a top of the line Android smartphone. It packs a lot of cutting edge technology that will give the likes of Sony Xperia Z1 and Samsung Galaxy Note III. It is powered by the powerful quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor, 2GB of RAM, and has 32GB of internal memory. It has a 5.2-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels.
Notably, it has a 13-megapixel camera in the back that comes with optical image stabilization. There is a 2.1-megapixel front facing camera, an IR blaster, and a 3,000mAh battery. It is also one of the first smartphones in the world to relay 24-bit audio.
LG has innovated with the design of the device and placed the power button and the volume keys on the back right beneath the camera module claiming ergonomics. One cannot determine how this might pan out, but international websites claim that this indeed does enhance the usability of the device considering its large footprint.
