BlackBerry BB10 C-series smartphone spotted in a leaked photo

BlackBerry might be laying off 40 percent of its employees and its BB10 smartphones haven’t set the market on fire but that is not stopping the company from working on its new handsets. BlackBerry is developing its C-series of affordable BB10 smartphones and a photo for the same has surfaced online. The photo leaked by bbin shows off a new BlackBerry low-end phone rumored to be codenamed as Americano. We are not sure if BlackBerry would announce the phone after it said last night that it would exit from the consumer market and would strip its product portfolio from six to four phones.

The phone will run on the BlackBerry 10.1 OS and come with a full touchscreen interface. Basically, the phone will carry the look and design of the Z30 launched earlier this week, and the specifications of the company’s mid-ranger Q5 launched a few months back. In terms of the size and display, it is believed to come with a 4.2-inch HD display with 720×1280 pixels resolution, which apparently looks unlikely for this phone being placed below the Q5 in BlackBerry’s BB10 smartphone portfolio.
