LG Nexus 5 hits FCC, reveals 5-inch display, Snapdragon 800 chipset and wireless charging

After making an accidental appearance in an official Google video earlier this week, the Nexus 5 is another step closer to officialdom as an LG D820 makes its presence felt at FCC. Though the device doesn’t mention Nexus 5 anywhere, the photos that show the wireless charging bits on the inside of the back panel line up perfectly with the mysterious Nexus device the unsuspecting Googler was found holding in the video Engadget reports.

The accompanying documents reveal the LG D820 will support LTE, penta-band DC-HSPA+ and quad-band GSM/EDGE connectivity apart from dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and NFC. Adding to these details, AnandTech’s Brian Klug has spotted references to the presence of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800 chipset and a 5-inch display. References have also been found to it running Key Lime Pie, aka Android 4.4 KitKat, which further cements its Nexus pedigree.
